Description

This probe is ideal for industrial applications requiring reflection measurements of powders and viscous liquids. Its stainless steel cylindrical body and probe tip withstand harsh environments, are waterproof, and can be replaced with PEEK or Hastelloy C276 materials. Light from the illumination source enters a fiber bundle of six fibers via a standard SMA905 connector, reaches the probe tip, illuminates the sample through a 45° quartz window (preventing direct reflection), and the reflected light from the powder or liquid enters a seventh fiber, which then couples the light into the spectrometer via its SMA905 connector.

Basic Information

Optical Fiber	Seven 200 μm fibers, including six illumination fibers and one detection fiber, with an N.A. (Numerical Aperture) of 0.22 and a standard length of 2 meters.

Probe Terminal	Stainless steel cylinder, 120 mm (length) x 12.7 mm (1/2 inch diameter). The probe tip includes a replaceable sapphire window approximately 10 mm (diameter) x 1 mm (thickness), and it is waterproof. Optional -PK (PEEK material) or -HY (Hastelloy C276 material) available.
Sleeve	The optical fiber is protected by a silicone inner tube and a flexible stainless steel (BX, outer diameter 6.0 mm) or chrome-plated brass (ME, outer diameter 5.0 mm) outer sleeve. A waterproof stainless steel silicone sleeve option (-MS) is also available.
Operating Temperature	-40°C to 100°C
Pressure	Probe tip (or probe end) 10 bar @ 25°C
Bending Radius	Short-term (a few seconds): 20 mm, Long-term: 120 mm
