1,2-Cyclohexanediammonium dibromide (o-CyHDADBr) is the dihydrobromide of 1,2-cyclohexanediamine, in which both ammonium groups sit on adjacent carbons of a rigid chair-form ring. The fixed cis geometry pillars adjacent inorganic bromide sheets at a defined angle, a constraint that linear diammonium spacers cannot impose, and it is used to study how rigid bridging cations shape layered perovskite structure and stability. The salt is purified four times to >=99.5%, dissolves in DMF and DMSO, and is stored at room temperature under argon.
