1,3-Propyldiammonium dibromide (PDABr) is the dihydrobromide of 1,3-propanediamine and the bromide counterpart of PDADI. Its two ammonium groups and three-carbon spacer produce a bridging geometry in layered bromide perovskites that differs from both monoammonium spacers and the shorter ethylenediammonium homologue, giving researchers another lever for tuning interlayer corrugation and quantum confinement. The salt reaches >=99.5% purity after four purification passes and is stored under argon, protected from light.
