Cat No:BMSPEM-0139
1,4-Butanediammonium diiodide (BDADI), the dihydroiodide of putrescine, carries two ammonium groups at the ends of a four-carbon chain together with two iodides. The longer diammonium span allows the cation to bridge inorganic iodide sheets in a more extended geometry than the propylene homologue, an arrangement explored in layered hybrid perovskites where cation and anion substitution tunes bandgap, carrier diffusion length and power conversion efficiency. The reagent is purified four times to >=99.5% and stored under argon away from light.
