Cat No:BMSPEM-0087
2-Amidinothiophene hydroiodide (ThFAI) is a thiophene-based amidinium iodide salt in which the formamidinium cation carries a 2-thienyl substituent. Supplied at >=99.5% purity after four purification passes, it serves as a perovskite precursor in which the bulky heteroaromatic cation is incorporated into halide perovskite frameworks to engineer dimensionality and film morphology. The compound dissolves readily in DMF and DMSO, the standard solvent systems for perovskite ink formulation.
