2,2'-(Ethylenedioxy)bis(ethylammonium) dibromide (EDBEBr2) is a linear diammonium dication salt in which two protonated ethylamine arms are bridged by an ethylenedioxy linker. As a divalent organic spacer, it forms layered Ruddlesden-Popper type halide perovskites in which the ether-containing chain relaxes lattice strain and improves film flexibility. Furnished at >=99.5% purity after four purification passes, the salt dissolves in DMF and DMSO for perovskite precursor formulations.
