2,2'-(Ethylenedioxy)bis(ethylammonium) dichloride (EDBECl2) is the dichloride salt of the EDBE dication, the chloride analog of the bromide salt used as a divalent organic spacer in layered halide perovskites. The ether-bridged diammonium chain allows the cation to span two adjacent inorganic sheets while the ethylenedioxy unit adds conformational flexibility. Supplied at >=99.5% purity after four purification passes, the compound dissolves in DMF and DMSO.
