Description

2,6-DBEAQ carries two butyric acid arms off a central anthraquinone, a design that delivers both high water solubility and a low reduction potential, which together translate into a higher usable cell voltage. The carboxylate termini also resist the nucleophilic attack that degrades many quinones, so capacity fade over extended cycling stays low. It is one of the more widely studied negolytes for pH-neutral aqueous organic flow batteries and is typically charged against ferrocyanide. The solid is air sensitive and benefits from argon-blanketed storage at room temperature. Minimum assay is 95%.
