Description

4-Fluorophenethylammonium chloride is the hydrochloride of 4-fluorophenethylamine, introducing a para-fluorine on the phenethyl spacer ring. Fluorination raises the hydrophobicity and thermal stability of the organic interlayer, which is exploited when the salt is used as a perovskite precursor for halide perovskite films with improved environmental robustness. The reagent is purified four times to >=99%, melts at 208 C, dissolves in DMF and DMSO, and is stored under argon protected from light, moisture and air.
