4-Pyridinylmethylammonium dibromide (4-PyABr) is the doubly protonated dibromide salt of 4-picolylamine, supplied at >=99.5% purity after four purification cycles. Protonation at both the benzylic ammonium and pyridinium nitrogens gives the cation two charge centers, useful when stronger ionic cohesion is needed in halide perovskite precursor compositions. The compound dissolves in DMF and DMSO and is stored under argon with protection from light and air.
