This is a special CR2032 coin cell case from Eata Battery with aluminum coated on the inside of the positive can, supplied at 10 sets per pack. The aluminum cladding tolerates polarization at higher voltages of up to 5.5 V owing to passivation of the can by electrolyte components, especially in LiPF6-based electrolytes, which would corrode bare stainless steel at such potentials. The cases are therefore suited to high-voltage cathode evaluation, including 5 V-class spinel and high-voltage electrolyte research. The same aluminum-clad format is also available for CR2025 and CR2430, packed at 60 sets per bag.
