Description

Benzylammonium chloride is the hydrochloride of benzylamine, pairing a phenylmethyl cation with chloride. As a benzyl spacer it is used as a perovskite precursor, and peer-reviewed work covers both its loading and sustained release in nano-clays and its role in homogeneous low-dimensional perovskite passivation layers for formamidinium-caesium perovskite solar modules. The reagent is purified four times to >=99.5%, melts at 253 C, dissolves in DMF, DMSO and ethanol, and is stored under argon protected from light, moisture and air.
