Cyclopentylammonium iodide (CyPentAI) is the iodide member of the cyclopentylammonium pair and provides a bulky cyclic cation together with iodide for halide perovskite formulation. Compared with linear alkylammonium iodides, the ring structure restricts conformational freedom at the organic-inorganic interface, which is often reflected in different crystallization kinetics and film texture. The reagent is purified four times to >=99%, is soluble in DMF and DMSO, and requires an argon atmosphere and protection from light, moisture and air during storage.
