Description

Cyclopropanammonium iodide (CyPAI) is the iodide counterpart of the cyclopropylammonium series, supplying a compact cyclic cation together with iodide in one reagent. Because the cyclopropane ring is both small and conformationally rigid, it changes the tilt and packing of the organic layer in low-dimensional iodide perovskites in a way that linear alkylammonium salts cannot reproduce. The salt reaches >=99.5% purity after four purification passes, dissolves in DMF and DMSO, and is handled under argon with protection from moisture, air and light.
