Description

Dimethylammonium iodide (DMAI) is the smallest secondary ammonium iodide in the series and is used as an additive during perovskite solar cell fabrication. Incorporating DMAI refines the crystal phase and morphology of the perovskite film, which in turn improves the power conversion efficiency of the finished optoelectronic device. Like other alkylating halide iodides and bromides, it belongs to the precursor pool from which photovoltaic-grade perovskites are produced. The reagent reaches >=99.5% purity after four purification passes, melts at 155 C, and is stored under argon away from light.
