Description

Formamidinium chloride (FACl), also known as formamidine hydrochloride, is the chloride salt of the formamidinium cation that underlies the FA-based perovskite family. It serves as the formamidinium source in perovskite fabrication routes, including low-temperature cation-exchange pathways to phase-pure alpha-FAPbI3 films for solar cells, and it is a classical amidine building block in heterocycle synthesis such as pyrimidine and imidazole construction. The high-purity salt melts at 84-87 C and dissolves in ethanol, DMF, DMSO and water.
