Formamidinium Formate is the formate salt of the formamidinium (FA) cation, in which the protonated amidine core is balanced by a formate anion. The material is purified through four successive cycles to a purity of at least 98%. It dissolves in most organic solvents and is hygroscopic, air-sensitive and light-sensitive, so it is stored protected from light at room temperature under argon.
