Cat No:BMSPEM-0424
This green silicon carbide powder from Eata Battery is smelted from petroleum coke and high-quality silica as the main raw materials with salt as an additive in a high-temperature electric resistance furnace, yielding crystals of high purity and high hardness, with hardness between fused alumina and diamond. It is a green to dark blue crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 48.16, soluble in molten alkalis and molten iron and insoluble in water, ethanol and acid. Particle sizes are available in different grades to match the application. Silicon carbide is suitable for processing hard alloy, glass, ceramic and non-metallic materials, and is also used in semiconductor materials, high-temperature silicon carbide heating elements and far-infrared source base materials.
