Irregular Hard Carbon Anode Powder for Sodium-Ion and Lithium-Ion Batteries (D50 ~7.9 um)

Cat No:BMSPEM-0416

Description

This irregular hard carbon powder from Eata Battery is an anode material for lithium-ion secondary and sodium-ion batteries, considered among the most promising anode candidates for sodium-ion systems thanks to abundant resources, low cost, non-toxic environmental compatibility and a low sodium storage potential. The larger layer spacing of hard carbon promotes the intercalation of sodium ions into the material, while the microporous structure formed by graphite-like microcrystals provides additional sodium storage sites. Analysis results: particle size D10 4.9 um, D50 7.9 um, D90 12.7 um and Dmax 21.1 um (laser diffraction, Malvern 2000); tap density 1.01 g/cm3; reversible capacity 250 mAh/g. A spherical hard carbon powder of the same family is also available for applications that require higher particle sphericity.
