Cat No:BMSPEM-0171
Methylammonium lead chloride iodide (CH3NH3PbI2Cl, MAPbI2Cl) is a mixed halide hybrid perovskite supplied at >=99%. Replacing part of the iodide with chloride shifts the absorption edge and improves phase stability, so the compound is used in band-gap engineering of perovskite solar cells and in studies of light-induced halide segregation. It dissolves readily in DMF and GBL, which suits both single-step and sequential solution deposition. The powder is sensitive to moisture, air and light and is best kept in the dark under argon.
