Nickel oxide - scandia-stabilized zirconia, abbreviated NiO/ScSZ-10 or NiO-Sc10SZ, is a composite of nickel oxide with 10 mol% scandia-stabilized zirconia, supplied at a purity of 99% or higher on a metals basis excluding approximately 1% hafnium oxide. Eata Battery offers this composite for solid oxide electrochemical cell research, where nickel oxide/ScSZ cermets are reduced to the corresponding nickel-zirconia anodes. The material carries the GHS signal word Danger, with hazards including skin sensitization, carcinogenicity, and organ damage from prolonged exposure. It should be stored at room temperature.
