Cat No:BMSPEM-0126
Octylammonium bromide (OABr) is the hydrobromide of n-octylamine and a long-chain spacer cation whose eight methylene groups push bromide perovskites into layered, quantum-confined architectures. The salt has been cited in peer-reviewed work across chromatographic analysis, organic synthesis and cross-coupling chemistry, and it is a routine building block when bandgap, carrier diffusion length and power conversion efficiency of organohalide perovskite solar cells need to be tuned through cation substitution. It is refined through four purification passes to >=99.5%, melts at 208 C, and ships as a light-protected, argon-packed solid.
