Description

This wet-process polyethylene battery separator from Eata Battery is supplied in two grades. The 8 um grade: single-layer wet-process PE membrane; width 455 mm; thickness 8.0 +/- 1.0 um; length 1000 m per roll; air permeability 120 +/- 50 sec/100ml; porosity 45 +/- 5 %; puncture strength >= 300 g; tensile strength >= 1000 kgf/cm2 in both TD and MD; heat shrinkage at 130 C for 1 h TD <= 1.5 % and MD <= 2.5 %, at 90 C for 1 h TD <= 1.0 % and MD <= 2.0 %. The 12 um grade: width 50.5 +/- 0.2 mm; thickness 12 +/- 1.5 um; air permeability 150 +/- 50 sec/100ml; porosity 40 +/- 5 %; puncture strength >= 450 g; areal density 7.0 +/- 1.0 g/m2; tensile strength TD >= 150 kgf/cm2 and MD >= 100 kgf/cm2; heat shrinkage at 90 C for 2 h TD <= 1.5 % and MD <= 4.0 %.
