Description

This PET insulation spacer roll from Eata Battery is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) for cylindrical lithium-ion cells. The white PET sheet has a smooth, dust-free surface with no stains or burrs, a thickness of 0.25 +/- 0.02 mm, a core inner diameter of 76 +/- 0.5 mm and a customizable width. Quality standards: no color change and no swelling after 24 h electrolyte immersion; longitudinal shrinkage <= 3 % and transverse shrinkage <= 2 % after heating at 150 C for 30 min; no deformation, melting or softening at 150 C; and volume resistivity of at least 1.0 x 10^13 ohm m. In use, the PET sheet is cut into ring-shaped spacers according to the battery model and dimensions, and the ring is placed onto the cylindrical cell cap for insulation protection before PVC heat-shrink packaging. Shelf life is 1 year from the production date when stored unopened at -15 to 45 C and relative humidity <= 95 %.
