Cat No:BMSPEM-0145
Phenylammonium bromide, also known as anilinium bromide, replaces the alkyl chain of the standard spacer series with a directly attached phenyl ring. The planar aromatic cation can engage in pi-pi stacking between organic layers, a feature explored when aryl ammonium halides are used to template low-dimensional halide perovskites or to passivate perovskite surfaces with hydrophobic aromatic coverings. The reagent is purified four times to >=99% and is stored under argon, protected from light, as a moisture- and air-sensitive solid.
