Cat No:BMSPEM-0159
Phenylbutanammonium iodide (PhBAI) is the hydroiodide of 4-phenylbutylamine, the longest homologue in the phenylalkylammonium iodide series of this precursor family. The four-methylene spacer decouples the aromatic ring from the ammonium anchor more strongly than the propyl and ethyl analogues, an option explored when organic interlayer thickness and ring orientation in low-dimensional iodide perovskites are being tuned. The salt reaches >=99% purity after four purification passes, dissolves in ethanol and THF among other solvents, and is stored under argon away from light, moisture and air.
