Description

Phenylethylammonium lead iodide ((C6H5CH2CH2NH3)2PbI4, PEA2PbI4) is one of the most widely studied two-dimensional layered perovskites, pairing a phenethylammonium spacer with lead iodide sheets. The bulky aromatic cation produces well-defined quantum wells with strong exciton binding energy and markedly better moisture resistance than three-dimensional lead iodide perovskites, which makes the compound a standard reference in 2D perovskite solar cell and light-emitting diode research. It is supplied at >=99%, dissolves in DMF and DMSO, and carries the full lead compound hazard profile, so it must be handled with gloves, eye and face protection and under conditions that prevent dust formation and release to the environment.
