Cat No:BME-0072
Sulfolane is a selective polar solvent that becomes a clear, colorless liquid at approximately 27–28°C. It is miscible with water, mixed xylenes, methyl mercaptan, and ethyl mercaptan; it also dissolves aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and many organic compounds and polymers, while showing limited solubility for paraffins and olefins. Its chemical and thermal stability supports aromatic extraction, polymer spinning and film casting, gas purification and desulfurization, rubber and plastics processing, and textile dyeing applications.
