Description

The erbium-ytterbium co-doped fiber (EYDFA) is primarily used in high-power telecom/CATV fiber amplifiers, laser ranging, LIDAR, and eye-safe lasers. The fiber features low splice loss and high optical-to-optical conversion efficiency. Its high absorption coefficient ensures strong output power while keeping costs low. Based on a mature fabrication process, the fiber allows control of absorption coefficient and gain spectrum, providing excellent uniformity.
