Description

The immersion transmission probe enables online absorbance measurements by immersing or permanently fixing it in the liquid. Light from the source enters a fiber bundle (six fibers, customizable) via an SMA905 connector, reaches the probe tip, reflects off a diffuse white material through a fixed gap, and enters the detection fiber, which then couples the light into the spectrometer. The detection fiber is centrally located among the illumination fibers for enhanced efficiency. The probe features a flexible stainless steel casing and a stainless steel tip, with the fiber bundle divided into illumination and readout sections by a metal ferrule in the middle, connected to the spectrometer and light source respectively.

Probe Terminal 316 stainless steel cylinder, 100 mm in length x 8.0 mm in diameter. Waterproof.
Sleeve The optical fiber is protected by a silicone inner tube and a flexible stainless steel (BX, outer diameter 6.0 mm) or chrome-plated brass (ME, outer diameter 5.0 mm) outer sleeve. The sleeve also helps to alleviate pressure on the optical fiber.

Bending Radius Short-term (a few seconds): 20 mm, Long-term: 120 mm
Tip The replaceable tips are available with spacings of 1 mm, 2.5 mm, and 5 mm, providing optical path lengths of 2 mm, 5 mm, and 10 mm respectively, and incorporate a 5 mm diameter, 1 mm thick fused quartz component.
