Description

For absorbance measurements in small centrifuge tubes or test tubes, we offer a pocket-sized immersion transmission probe (130 mm long, 3.2 mm diameter) with a fixed optical path of 5 or 10 mm, usable in the UV/VIS/NIR (200-2500 nm) range. The probe typically has a chrome-plated brass casing (ME), with options for longer stainless steel or Hastelloy probes. It has two SMA connectors (FC/PC optional) for easy connection to Avantes' spectrometers and light sources.

Basic Information

Optical Fiber	One illumination fiber and one detection fiber, both with a core diameter of 200 μm and a standard length of 2 meters.

Probe Terminal	316 stainless steel cylinder, 130 mm (length) x 3.2 mm (1/8 inch diameter). The probe tip includes a sampling gap with a physical dimension of 5 mm/optical path of 10 mm or a physical distance of 2.5 mm/optical path of 5 mm. Optional -HY (Hastelloy C276) material available.
Sleeve	The optical fiber is protected by a silicone inner tube and a flexible stainless steel (BX, outer diameter 6.0 mm) or chrome-plated brass (ME, outer diameter 5.0 mm) outer sleeve. A waterproof stainless steel silicone sleeve option (-MS) is also available.
Operating Temperature	-40°C to 100°C
Pressure	Probe tip (or probe end) 10 bar @ 25°C
Bending Radius	Short-term (a few seconds): 20 mm, Long-term: 120 mm
