Description

For some measurements, it's necessary to connect the reflection probe to two spectrometers and one light source, a typical scenario in UV/VIS and NIR reflectance measurements. Light emitted from the source is coupled into a fiber bundle consisting of 17 fibers and conducted to the probe tip. The light reflected from the measured surface uniformly enters two readout fibers. Both readout fibers are equipped with connectors, with each fiber connected to a separate spectrometer. For applications requiring 90-degree measurements, a special adapter with a 45-degree mirror can be easily installed at the front end of the reflection probe. If precise focusing of the light spot to a small size at a long distance is required, the UV/VIS/NIR adjustable collimating/focusing lens can be conveniently installed at the front end of the probe.

Basic Information

Optical Fiber Nineteen fibers with a core diameter of 200 μm, including seventeen illumination fibers and two detection fibers, with an N.A. of 0.22, a standard length of 2 meters, and a beam splitter located in the middle of the fibers.

Probe Terminal 316 stainless steel cylinder, 50 mm (length) x 6.35 mm (diameter). Optional -PK (PEEK material) or -HY (Hastelloy C276 material) available. (Note: This sentence is a repetition of the sixth one, but included here as per the original text.)
Sleeve The optical fiber is protected by a silicone inner tube and a flexible chrome-plated brass outer sleeve. The sleeve also helps to alleviate pressure on the optical fiber, with an outer diameter of 5.0 mm.
