Description

Plastic-clad silica fiber is a type of multimode fiber that utilizes high-purity, low-hydroxyl silica as its core and fluorinated acrylate resin plastic as its cladding. The rigid plastic cladding serves both as the cladding and the coating layer. Additionally, when equipped with a tight buffer structure, it offers superior moisture resistance and higher tensile strength compared to conventional silica-clad fibers. As a result, this fiber finds extensive applications in industrial and communication fields, as well as in near-infrared spectroscopy environments.
