Description

To obtain spectral information from diffuse or specular reflective materials, a reflection probe is utilized. Light from the source is sent to the sample through six illumination fibers, and the reflected light is collected by a seventh fiber located in the middle of the probe tip. This seventh fiber is coupled to a spectrometer configured for the appropriate wavelength range based on requirements. Additionally, more illumination fibers can be added to obtain more energy from the source, thereby increasing the reflected signal level. For applications requiring 90-degree measurements, the special adapter with a 45-degree mirror can be easily installed at the front end of the reflection probe.

Basic Information

Optical Fiber Seven fibers with core diameters of either 200 μm or 400 μm, including six illumination fibers and one detection fiber, with a numerical aperture of 0.22, a standard length of 2 meters, and a beam splitter located in the middle.

Connector Two SMA905 connectors
Probe Terminal 316 stainless steel cylinder, 50 mm (length) x 6.35 mm (diameter). Optional PEEK material (-PK) or Hastelloy C276 material (-HY) available. (Note: This is a third repetition of the same sentence, but again included as per the original text.)
Sleeve The optical fiber is protected by a silicone inner tube and a flexible stainless steel (BX, outer diameter 6.0 mm) or chrome-plated brass (ME, outer diameter 5.0 mm) outer sleeve. The sleeve also helps to alleviate pressure on the optical fiber.

Bending Radius Short-term (a few seconds): 20-40 mm, Long-term: 120-240 mm
