Description

For certain medical and semiconductor applications, there's a need for extremely small probes for reflectance measurements. Two standard-diameter pin-type reflection probes are available, with diameters of 1.5 mm and 2.5 mm, respectively, and a length of 100 mm. Light from the illumination source is coupled into a fiber bundle composed of six 200 μm fibers via a standard SMA905 connector, which directly connects to the probe tip. Reflected light from the sample surface enters a seventh 200 μm fiber, which transmits the spectral data to the spectrometer through an SMA905 connector. A specially designed angled fiber holder for the 1.5 mm diameter reflection probe is highly useful, enabling reflectance measurements at angles of 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, and 90 degrees. Optical Fiber Seven fibers with a 200 μm core, including six illumination fibers and one detection fiber, with an NA of 0.22, a standard length of 2 meters, and a beam splitter located in the middle of the fibers.
