Cat No: SGS-LJX-0008 Datasheet
Product Name: Combustible Gas Sensor, 300–10000 ppm (methane, propane)
Quantities: - +
| Detailed Description | The gas sensor uses tin dioxide (SnO2), a gas-sensitive material with low conductivity in clean air. When combustible gases are present in the sensor's environment, the sensor's conductivity increases with the concentration of these gases. A simple circuit can convert this conductivity change into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration. The MQ-5B gas sensor is highly sensitive to butane, propane, and methane, and offers good compatibility with methane and propane. This sensor can detect a variety of combustible gases, especially liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) (propane), making it a low-cost sensor suitable for a wide range of applications. |
| Main Applications | It can be widely used in household gas leak alarms, industrial combustible gas alarms, and portable gas detectors. |
