Detailed Description This biosensor integrates a vAFE channel for detecting bioelectrical potential signals and a high-performance 3-axis digital accelerometer for motion tracking. The device employs an extremely compact, low-noise, and low-power vAFE design with configurable input impedance. The vAFE can read analog signals complementary to the motion signals. The vAFE and motion signals are inherently synchronized, enabling unique context-aware analysis that reduces power consumption and minimizes latency.

The easy integration and practical synchronization of the vAFE with the accelerometer sensor signal allows for independent processing within the MEMS sensor, fully leveraging its embedded ecosystem (including FSMs and MLCs) and reducing the microcontroller load. The device incorporates advanced dedicated functions and data processing capabilities for signal processing, such as finite state machines (FSMs), adaptive self-configuration (ASC), and machine learning kernels (MLCs) with derivative AI functions/filters.

The complete set of functionalities enabled by the sensor's target interface and embedded 128-level FIFO buffer sets a benchmark for system integration in terms of bill of materials, processing power, and power consumption. This embedded accelerometer features user-selectable ranges of ±2g/±4g/±8g/±16g and measures acceleration at output data rates from 1.6 Hz to 800 Hz.

The product includes a dedicated internal engine for handling motion and acceleration detection, including free fall, wake-up, single/double/triple hit recognition, active/resting, and 6D/4D orientation recognition. Its slim, small plastic pad grid array (LGA) package ensures normal operation over a wider temperature range (-40 °C to +85 °C).
