| Detailed Description | The smoke sensor uses tin dioxide (SnO2), a gas-sensitive material with low conductivity in clean air. When combustible gases are present in the environment, the conductivity of the smoke sensor increases with the concentration of these gases in the air. A simple circuit can convert this conductivity change into an output signal corresponding to the gas concentration detected by the smoke sensor. The MQ-2 smoke sensor is highly sensitive to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), propane, and hydrogen, and is also ideal for detecting natural gas and other combustible vapors. This gas sensor can detect a variety of combustible gases and is a low-cost smoke sensor suitable for a wide range of applications. |
